Site Manager – Renewable Technologies
Location: Home Counties
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
Employment Type: Site-Based / Independent
A growing renewables contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of renewable energy projects across the Home Counties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, safety-focused leader with a strong construction background and a passion for sustainable technologies.
About the Role:
As a Site Manager, you will take ownership of site operations across solar PV, LED lighting, EV charging, and heating installations. Reporting to the Senior Project Management team, you will ensure safe, timely, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations, including construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance

Conduct regular site inspections and maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards

Manage health and safety procedures, including risk assessments, safety training, and incident reporting

Coordinate temporary works and lifting operations in accordance with LOLER and related regulations

Maintain site records, progress reports, and client documentation

Lead and motivate on-site teams and subcontractors

Ensure work meets design specifications, quality standards, and client expectations
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in construction site management (renewables experience is desirable)

Competence in temporary works coordination and lifting operations

Strong leadership and communication skills

A thorough understanding of H&S regulations, including the Health & Safety at Work Act

Technical knowledge of construction processes and the ability to read drawings and specifications

Qualifications Required:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

Valid CSCS card
-
Knowledge of LOLER and other relevant industry standards
